SJFC YOUTH ACADEMY DEFEATED NARROWLY BY MANCHESTER UNITED

Another landmark occasion on what has been a great season for the St Johnstone Youth Academy took place at McDiarmid Park tonight when our 16 and 17 year old youngsters took on Manchester United.
In a highly entertaining match, Saints' trialist goalkeeper Ben McKenzie produced a fine penalty save after only two minutes to prevent an awkward start for Alistair Stevenson's boys and they more than gave as good as they got throughout the match.
The only goal of the game went to the visitors when Angel Gomes scored in the first half but it was a great occasion for everyone involved and the club would like to thank the supporters who came along - a great attendance of 1,057 on the night.
